Sunday School
The objective of a Sunday School program reflects the experience of becoming in the Christian faith and life. At every age this can be attained to some degree and at every age the learner can hope for further fulfillment. Our ultimate purpose is to help all persons be aware of an grow in their understanding of God, especially of his redeeming love as revealed in Jesus Christ.

Vacation Bible School is a joint time between the Dunkerton Methodist Church. Each day is a different Bible adventure. This is an awesome opportunity to celebrate God's presence while experiencing fun and learning at all ages!

We participate in Operation Christmas Child, a unique worldwide outreach program. These gifts went to children in impoverished areas worldwide-- a tangible expression of Jesus' love during the Christmas season! Thanks for the abundance of donations, for the generosity and desire to share the love of Christ in a practical, heartfelt way.

There are several students involved in our Sunday School Program! We are utilizing the Augsburg Fortress curriculum. This does a great job of reaching today's hands-on generation of kids with active learning and unique learner resources at each grade level.

We continue to celebrate birthdays. There have been many generations of small hands putting pennies into our little church piggybank. We have also enjoyed providing special music and recitations each month during worship service.

The Christmas program is held every year in December. It will feature children from Dunkerton United Methodist, and St. John's, sharing the wonderful story of Jesus' birth. The traditional 7-12th grade candle-light cross service at the conclusion of the program highlights a very meaningful experience as we celebrate our Lord's birth.
